On Feb 26th, JYP Entertainment released an official statement, saying, “Recently, a certain individual has been repeatedly sending letters to TWICE members that contain inappropriate content and photos stemming from delusions, while also persistently lingering around the artists’ workplaces, residential areas and other surroundings.“

JYP emphasized, “This has caused severe mental distress and anxiety not only to the artists but also to those around them. To ensure the safety and security of our artists, we have strengthened protective measures and are closely monitoring the situation.”
The agency continued, “This individual’s repeated sending of distressing and offensive letters against the artists’ will, along with loitering around their living spaces, is a clear act of stalking. Such actions can be severely punished under the relevant laws.”

JYP issued a stern warning, “We strongly reaffirm that these actions are against the explicit will of the artists. If the individual does not immediately cease such stalking behaviors, we will take the strongest possible legal action without leniency or negotiation.”
K-pop fans have also expressed their support for JYP Entertainment’s statement and legal actions to protect TWICE.
Comments:
- They really need to be well protected ㅠㅠ
- There are still people like that, huh? Tsk tsk.
- Stalker? They should be properly punished.
- Lately, it seems like there are a lot of sasaengs following them… This must be a new one. The German sasaeng people are talking about in the comments hasn’t shown up at offline events since COVID. It’s been a long time since they were last seen. And since the company already took legal action before, there’s no need for them to make an announcement again.
- Is it that guy who’s been delusionally claiming that Nayeon agreed to marry him? Crazy bastard.
- Stalking laws need to be stricter;; They should lock these people up for a long time;;
Meanwhile, TWICE is set to appear as a special guest at British band Coldplay’s concert in Korea, which will be held at Goyang Stadium, Gyeonggi this April.
